Tony had been providing IT consultancy services to Micah Projects Inc. when a permanent role became available and he was invited to apply.
The opportunity to work in a community-based organisation was what first attracted Tony to the company and the recruitment process for the Web Development role was easy and straightforward. Tony credits his background in education and his love of the community for leading him down this path. The connections he’s made through his work, and his IT skills have been key in landing him this job.
Tony has been employed at Micah Projects Inc. for 2 years. Tony loves his job because he feels that he is helping raise awareness of social injustice. Micah Projects Inc. provides opportunities to engage in social action and builds positive relationship with people who are socially isolated in the community.
Tony has been involved in youth and community work over the last year and has also been involved with work around refugees.
Tony would like to upgrade his IT skills and get an Accreditation of Experience. His vision is to expand IT to become an educational tool within the organisation.
Tony describes himself as an artist – a musician/singer, writer and photographer!
