The policy templates and guides have been developed to assist organisations in implementing the Queensland Standards for Community Services. To meet each of the standards, an organisation is required to implement particular sets of policies and procedures. There are 36 policies and related procedures for the 11 standards.
For each policy, there is a template which provides a pro forma for the policy and procedures, and a guide to completing the template. The templates and guides provide a way for organisations to check whether their existing policies and procedures meet all the criteria of the standards or to draft new policies and procedures if the organisation needs them.
Please Note: Organisations are not obliged to have 36 separate policies and may choose to address more than one area of the standards within the same policy. Organisations are not in any way obliged to adopt the format of the templates, which are offered only as possible examples of good practice.
