Resources to support Indigenous service provision

VOICE: Valuing Organisational Improvement and Community Excellence

VOICE:
Valuing Organisational Improvement and Community Excellence is a CD-ROM, available online, that is comprised of management resources designed to help with the day-to-day running of a community organisation.

VOICE contains user-friendly information about office administration and management, along with 'how-to' guides, templates and samples on topics, including:

  • managing human resources
  • running meetings
  • strengthening governance
  • strategic planning, and
  • risk management.

Its structure is based on the draft Standards for Community Services and resources relate to the three standards categories:

  • people who use services
  • people working in services, and
  • governance and accountability.

If you are a new organisation, the new users guide will explain these resources and help you get started using them.

VOICE was developed as part of the Strengthening Indigenous Non-Government Organisations initiative. Although targeted at Indigenous organisations, its resources are relevant to all NGOs.
